Who we are

Oban & District Development Trust was set up to empower local people to shape a stronger, greener, and more prosperous future for Oban - through community ownership, local enterprise, and community-led development.

We've already taken our first step. In February 2026, we bought the Re_Store shop building at 113 George Street, securing it for the community for good.

We're only as strong as our membership. The more local people who join us, the more we can achieve - and the more attractive our projects become to funders and partners.

Membership is free and open to everyone in Oban, Dunbeg, Connel, Kilmore and Kilbride.
